RT @designrobyn: Wine lovers like @thirstforwine beware: RT @factable You are more likely to be killed by a champagne cork than by a poisonous spider
Wanted to make a cork QR code like this too, , but it needs 600 corks!! Must drink more wine first!
This is a fun idea for all geeks out there - combining QR codes & wine in a novel way - the cork QR by @mroconnell:
Is pulling the cork simply not enough? Then liven it up with these amazing kits: #wine (via @davebirss) ;)
@enotriauk I agree that wine packaging is not key consumer message, but there needs to be some balance in the universe of pro-cork messages
@ElsiePR exactly my point. We criticise cork PR and media that reprint it (w/out thought), but they are not being balanced by other messages
@ElsiePR not about fairness. Not that hard to update, or take down old sites. Lots of criticism of cork push, but where is response?
No wonder that #cork has the PR initiative when THIS seems to be #screwcap's response (not updated since 2007)
My wife and I both have an interest in cork related items
RT @guyawoodward: Natural Cork lobby slapping 'Protect the Planet' flyers on car windscreens at Vinexpo. Maybe start by not wasting paper on annoying flyers?
@WillsWine interesting, though the flying cork might get lost in smaller sizes. Not sure of typeface though
@WineBusProf interesting comparison (cork vs tobacco). Fair? More like FA endorsing football boots. Where's impartiality & big picture?
There are merits & occasions for cork as well as other closures, but is it not odd to have sommeliers take sides?
RT @TheWineSociety Prosecco DOC Treviso Frizzante: back under cork > [one of several recent "return to cork" stories]
@beverleynorman not a general problem. Easiest is to remove the wire, then hold the cork and turn the bottle! Cheers!
Nice to read reasoned debate on cork vs screwcap & not usual extremism some prefer: (by @jamiegoode via @louisehurren)
If cork needs a corkscrew, what does a screwcap need #screwscrew
Sniff the Cork: either daring marketing initiative or tragic & embarrassing mistake - < be the judge
I'm disappointed by the fact that while I was defending cork tonight, my own wine was suffering from traces of TCA :(
